The final round of The Dogwood Invitational concluded today with a win for Charles Huntzinger, a rising sophomore at Penn State University. Huntzinger clinched the title with a birdie on hole 16 that allowed him to keep the lead through the final 2 holes. A 2 putt par on 18 secured his championship when runner up Anthony Quayle from Australia just missed his birdie putt on 18 to tie.
2015 Dogwood Champion Dawson Armstrong, was joint runner up with a score of 65, made a hard charge on the back nine with birdies on 12, 14, 15, 16 & 17 and just missed a birdie on 18 to tie for the lead. Also tied for runner up was Raul Pereda of Mexico, who had a great round of 68, with 7 birdies chasing the leaders.
